During the certification process (initial Type Certification or Changes to Type Certificates), potential controversial subjects are documented by the Agency, to provide a means for the identification and resolution of significant technical, regulatory, and administrative issues that occur during the certification process.
CRIs are equivalent to Issue Papers (IP) which are used by the FAA.
