CS forms together with acceptable means of compliance and guidance material the Airworthiness Code.
Examples of Certification Specifications are
- EASA CS-23/25/27/29 Certification Specificationsfor Normal/Utility/Aerobatic/Commuter Category Aeroplanes (23), Large Aeroplanes (25), Small Rotorcraft (27) and Large Rotorcraft (29).
The applicable CS-xx amendment is dependent on the specific type certification application date.

- Anhang III «Grundlegende Anforderungen an die Umweltverträglichkeit von Produkten»;

Die Zulassungsspezifikationen bilden zusammen mit den annehmbaren Nachweisverfahren und Anleitungen den Lufttüchtigkeitskodex.
