The Operator is according to EASA Part M (or equivalent, as applicable) responsible for continued airworthiness of the aircraft he operates. This includes the responsibility for aircraft maintenance. Therefore when referred to «Operator» it includes appropriately approved Maintenance Organisations (MO).

Organisation oder Person, die ein Luftfahrzeug betreibt.
Der Betreiber ist gemäss EASA Teil M (oder ggf. gleichwertig) für die Aufrechterhaltung der Lufttüchtigkeit des von ihm betriebenen Luftfahrzeugs verantwortlich. Dies schliesst die Verantwortung für die Instandhaltung des Luftfahrzeugs ein. Wenn daher von «Betreiber» die Rede ist, schließt dies entsprechend genehmigte Instandhaltungsorganisationen (MO) ein.
